Photoshop Object Recoloring Exploration
Experimenting with Recoloring Objects in an image using Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layers and Imagination
To start, let's hop on the Zurich subway....

The windowsills on the building to the right closely match the painted hues of the subway car itself. This could be a neat opportunity to tweak their appearance together.

Perhaps we don't want our Hue/Saturation adjustments to touch everything in the image, though.
That's where we can get even more precise: First, by making selections of different objects. Then, using those selections as masks for layers that duplicate the base image.
We might just want to recolor the train, or recolor everything except for the sky:

Or, we might want to recolor everything except for the train car:

The sky (or everything but) is truly the limit ✨

Recoloring Clothing
One key concept related to recoloring is to use two separate layers:
1) A Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer or Color Fill Layer
2) A Curves Adjustment Layer or Levels Adjustment Layer (placed over top of the first)
The first controls our core color changes, while the latter controls how the color changes interact with the brightness and luminosity of the base image. This is crucial for recoloring elements such as clothing, where we want to preserve the finer details of the affected surface:

From there, we can set a mask on the group to control where both effects are applied together at once.

Recoloring Objects in a Room
Recoloring the individual objects in a room can often bring all of these ideas together: fine-grained selections, masked groups, sampling colors from an existing image, and more.
If you're hotel room is looking a bit... stale...

... why not have a go with some remodeling:
